I call this a “relaxed” faux hawk because it’s not an extreme example of the faux-hawk style, but rather a more undone and laid back look. Faux hawk refers a gentler take on a Mohawk.
How To Style:
- Towel dry hair well until there is barely any moisture left.
- Apply a working pomade to the top of your hair and form a subtle faux-hawk peak towards the front of your hair. Again, no need for perfection here! You are going for the general look of a faux-hawk, not a perfectly placed and exact style.
Recommended Products:
I would advise trying Bumble and Bumble’s Sumo Tech. It’s a moldable product that feels a bit like a paste and will keep your hair in place all day long.
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
This look is perfect if you have short hair that’s fine and you still want to be able to create some sort of texture and style. If you have a round face shape, this look will elongate it.
